Like many of us I try to avoid as many nasty chemicals and contaminants as possible. I have tried several deodorant recipes online and then have tweaked some of them to my liking and this is one of my favorite recipes.
2 tbsp coconut oil
2 tbsp shea butter
1 tsp baking soda
2 tbsp arrowroot powder
1 tbsp bentonite clay
1.5 tsp beeswax
4 drops peppermint essential oil
2 drops eucalyptus essential oil
9 drops lavender essential oil
and it's so easy to make! Melt coconut oil, shea butter and beeswax together until liquid, then add essential oils and stir well. Once the oils are blended nicely then add the baking soda, bentonite clay, arrowroot powder and stir until you have a smooth creamy consistency. Pour into your tube or jar and let cool.
